Malta, Golden bay

The Golden Bay beach in MaltaThe Golden Bay beach in Malta

Today there is a public holiday, so there are no lessons at school. Remarkably, nobody knows the name of the celebration, but everybody likes to have another day off. Due to the missing day, the lessons for this week at school will be prolonged, and we will be studying from 9:00 till 13:00.

So, I am going to set off for the sandy beach with the name Golden Bay, which is located in the west part of the island. The whole way with one stop over takes about 50 minutes.
First, I took the bus 222 from Park and Ride stop, and then I changed the bus for 223 at Mary stop. It is very convenient that the final point of destination is written in the front of the bus. You can also find the detailed schedule of the buses at every bus stop.
Unfortunately, drivers do not announce any stops, but if you are lucky enough, there will be a ticker with the information about the next stop. Anyway, you can press the button Stop, to demand a stop.
You also should remember that the middle doors are for exit, and you should pay for the trip to the bus driver (or touch the plastic card) when entering the bus.
The air is conditioned in the bus, so you can even get cold.

The beach itself is very nice and beautiful, with golden sand. It was not overcrowded at all (at least at 9:30 when I arrived there).

Today Switzerland plays against England, and I watch the match at The Scotsman Pub with a pint of John Smith's. It is interesting that I saw how the chef many times came out of the kitchen, drinking another glass of beer. Probably it is very hot at the kitchen. Anyway, the score is 2:0 in favor to England.
